Int'l conference on nutrition held at IU

An international conference on nutrition was held at Islamic University IU) in Kushtia on Saturday. Applied Nutrition and Food Technology Department organised the conference on 'Role of Nutrition in Health and Development' in association with Higher Education Quality Enhan-cement Project (HEQEP) of University Grant Commission (UGC) at Bir Shreshta Hamidur Rahm-an Auditorium.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari was present as chief guest while Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahamn and Dean of Applied Science and Technology Faculty Dr M Shamsul Alam as special guests. Dr M Rezaul Karim, chairman of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology Depart-ment, chaired the event.

 The department professor SM Abdur Rouf conducted the conference while professor of Infection Biology Department of Tsukuba University.
