Nine injured in Gopalganj clashes

Gopalganj, 31 Dec- At least nine people were injured in post election clashes in Gopalganj on Wednesday night and Thursday.  Both the groups chased each other and locked into clashes at different places including Battala, Binapani and Miahpara areas on Wednesday night and today. A group of agitated people attacked and ransacked three houses of wining candidates last light and today. Police arrested one person in this connection.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Thana Sawgatul Islam said situation is now under control and addition police has deployed in the area. A case was filed in this connection.-BSS
