Arfin Rumey to debut in film

He is mostly known as a singer and music composer, before he was even known as a cricketer. Not only that, he has been occasionally seen acting in music videos. Now the popular cricketer turned pop singer is furthering his on-screen journey even more and signed a film titled Jannat. Surprisingly he will be seen performing his own song that he sang for the film. Titled Papi Tapi Mon, the lyrics of the song was written by Sudip Kumar Dip.

"The film has a scene of a concert that will feature a singer singing on Pahela Boishakh. It is a very short scene but very important. I wanted to give it an authentic look that's why I decided to cast Rumey and he was ok with it," said the director of the film Mustafizur Rahman.

The shooting of Jannat has already started in Ramadan. Although the continuous rain made the shooting to a halt, the director wants to finish the rest of the shooting as soon as possible. Two popular actors of Dhallywood, Mahiya Mahi and Saimon Sadik will be seen in the lead roles.  Produced by SS Multimedia, Sudipto Saeed Khan penned the story, while Asad Zaman wrote the screenplay of Jannat.
