Muhith seeks family ticket from China

Finance Minister AMA Muhith's request for an additional air ticket from a Chinese organization has been rejected. Reportedly, Economic Relations Department (ERD) requested the concerned Chinese authority to arrange an additional air ticket to enable Finance Minister's son or daughter to accompany him to Beijing to attend the program. But the Chinese organization turned down ERD's request for another ticket. Latest reports have informed AMA Muhith is not going to Beijing since the Chinese organization did not comply with his request for another complimentary air ticket.

However, Prime Minis-ter's Adviser Toufique Elahi Chowdhury, Economic Adviser Mashiur Rahman and ERD Secretary are expected to attend the program. This incident sounds disrespectful for the country, according to relevant sources as the Chinese organization did not accept  Bangladesh authority's request for another ticket to facilitate someone to travel with AMA Muhith. Reportedly AMA Muhith is not going to the program as ministerial protocol would not be accorded to him.
