Poacher held with deer skin in Bagerhat
Police in a drive arrested a poacher and seized skin of a deer in Kadamtola area under Sharankhola upazila on Friday night.
Tipped off, a team of police intercepted a motorbike and held Saddam Ali, 20, son of Razzak Mir of Sonatola village of the upazila and recovered the skin from his possesion, said Md Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Sharankhola Police Station.
During primary interrogation, Saddam confessed that he was taking the skin to Kadamtola village to sell it to poacher Anwar Hossian, the OC also said.
Later, a case was filed with the police station accusing two poachers. Police are trying to arrest another poacher.
