Tufan shifted to Kashimpur

Prime accused of Bogra college girl rape case Tufan Sarkar has been shifted to Kashimpur jail with the allegation of enjoying posh days behind the bar. The suspended Sramik League leader was being supplied drugs and luxury things, according to several media reports.

 
In the meantime, a one-member probe committee has been formed to look into the matter. DIG prisons of Rajshahi Altaf Hossen reached Bogra yesterday to investigate the issue.  Tufan, who was in Bogra jail since his arrest on July 28 in the much-talked-about rape case, was shifted to Kashimpur High Security Prison around 1:00pm yesterday, Bogra Jail Supper Mozammel Hossain said. Altaf Hossen  yesterday told reporters that he has begun the investigation and would submit the findings to the authority soon. The published reports said that Tufan was receiving food and drugs inside the jail. Even the jail authority arranged a meeting with the victim at visitor's room. However, the Bogra jail authority has been discarding the allegations from the very beginning.

Bogra Jail Supper Mozammel Hossain the inmate had no chance to meet the victim. Apart from, one can buy better meal from the jail canteen. However, about the drugs issue, it was speculated that some could have thrown Phensedyl inside the jail which was collected by one Golam Rabbani, an inmate, had already been punished.  "Tufan was even not referred to outside hospital," claimed the jail super.
