Bangladeshi young filmmaker Hemanta Sadeeq's short film A Letter to God has been selected in nine international film festival's main competition category. The film, featuring a story of trust and mistrust previously won the best young talent award at the 10th International Children's Film Festival in January. The film has also got an award winning selection in the Youth Film Festival in Hollywood this year.
The film has already been screened in different international film festival among what the Third Asia Youth Micro Film Exhibition in China is notable that took place on September 25. Hemanda Sadeeq is going to represent Bangladesh in the Global Youth Film Festival on October 7. Global Youth Film Festival is a platform for young filmmakers between the ages of 14-23 to present a cinematic address to social issues that plague their local or global communities.
The festival organizers informed that a total of 22 films have been selected from 200 films and A Letter to God has been selected in the short list. Besides, the film has been selected in the Ringerike International Youth Film Festival which will take place from November 7-11 in Norway. It has also been selected in the Geo Film Festival and Expocinema which will take place in Cittadella, Italy on November 9. This film festival will screen A Letter to God in the main event.
