A short film made in Bangladesh is making a big name of itself in the international film circuit. Life in Other Words, directed by Abrar Athar will premiere worldwide at the San Jose International Short Film Festival.

Each year, the San Jose International Short Film Festival delivers what every filmmaker dreams of. Incredible image & sound reproduction of their work on the big screen, a receptive audience hungry for cinematic excellence and a supportive staff on hand to make the festival an experience of a lifetime.

Noted as one of the "Top 50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" by MovieMaker Magazine, the goal is simple. Deliver the best of WORLD CLASS SHORT FILMS, films from every genre, style with run times from 60 seconds, up to 30 minutes in length.

This year's festival opens December 7th and runs through Sunday December 10th. The 15 minutes short film will be screened on December 8, Friday at Cinearts Theater, San Jose, California.

The film tells a simple story of a typical Bangladeshi family on the worst day of their lives. The movie has a Wes Anderson feel to it, channeling nostalgia of growing up. It captures a unique yet honest glance of the dynamics of this Bangladeshi family.

The simple storytelling of the film has already moved the international media. UK Film Review wrote about the movie, "A depiction of family life, filmmaker Abrar Athar's short film, Life in Other Words, is a mischievously enjoyable piece that makes use of charm and comedy, whilst telling multiple narratives in a light hearted manner."
