Fuad diagnosed with thyroid cancer

Popular music director and composer Fuad has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The music composer confirmed that in a video posted on Facebook on January 14 adding that he wanted to share the message with his family, friends and fans.

The post comes two days after the release of a music video of the first ever collaboration of Habib Wahid and Fuad Almuqtadir was released on Gaanchill Music's official YouTube channel on January 12.

"I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer during a recent checkup. I still do not know the current stage of the cancer," Fuad said. He also added that the survival rate from thyroid cancer is very high and he is hopeful of recovering soon. The composer further asked for prayers and wishes from everyone.

Fuad has been involved with music since 1993 while he formed a band named 'Zefyr'. He is widely known as a popular composer in Bangladesh and has some notable works in this field.
