Mahfuza clinches 2nd gold in SA Games
Swimmer Mahfuza Khatun clinched her second gold for Bangladesh in the Women's 50meter Breast Stroke of the 12th South Asian Games at Dr Zakir Hussain Aquatic Complex in Guwahati, India on Monday.  Mahfuza took 34.88 seconds on her way to win the gold medal in the event, breaking the previous record of 34.97 seconds timing made by Sri Lankan swimmer Raheen Mayuni in 2006 SA Games in Colombo. This is the third gold medal for Bangladesh so far in the SA Games this year. On Sunday, Mahfuza clinched another Gold medal in the Women's 100-metrw breast at the same venue. Weightlifter Mabia Akhter Simanta clinched the first gold medal for Bangladesh in the women's 63-kg weight category at the Bhogeshwari Phukanani Indoor Stadium in Dispur, Guwahati, also on Sunday.  Bangladesh now has 25 medals in the bag, with 17 bronze, five silver and three gold medals so far.
