Memorial meeting on Annisul Huq today

The Asian Age has will arrange a memorial meeting on late Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq today. The meeting will begin at 5:00pm at La Vita Hall of Lakeshore Hotel in city's Banani area. Born in 1952, Huq began his career as an entrepreneur and subsequently managed to achieve reputation as a successful business leader. He was also familiar media face as a popular TV host.

In 2015, he was elected the mayor of Dhaka North on ticket of Bangladesh Awami League in the City Corporation election. Bold and straight initiatives to make Dhaka cleaner and greener gave him the rare fame and love of the people. Dhaka dwellers put their high hope on 'Clean Dhaka, Green Dhaka'-the election slogan of the mayor.
