Tripura made CHT Dev Board chief again

The government has appointed Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura on contractual basis for three years for the post of Chairman, Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board. Earlier on he held the post of Secretary, Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs for six years and eight months from 16 June 2011 to 28 February 2018. Besides, he additionally held the charge of Chairman, Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board since 2013.

Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura retired from Bangladesh Police in 2010 while he was an Additional Inspector General. He is an official of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) 1982 batch. He had completed honors and masters in English literature from Dhaka University. He participated in the Liberation War of 1971 while he was a student of Dhaka College.

Moreover, Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura obtained a graduation degree from National Defence College (NDC), Mirpur Cantonment in 2005. He successfully accomplished higher professional trainings under the US State Department in Washington DC and Swedish National Defence College, Stockholm.
