Sikh Khalsa Sajna Diwas celebrated in Dhaka

The Khalsa Sajna Diwas is considered as the embodiment of the 10th Guru Gobind Singh in Sikh religion. The 319th anniversary of the day was celebrated yesterday at Gurdwara Nanak Shahi compound in Dhaka with due festivity with participation of many Sikh devotees coming from India.

Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony and the people of all religious communities are used to enjoying their religious rights with honor and dignity here, said Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Haif while speaking as the chief guest of the event.

The function was attended by Gurudwara Managemnt Board Kolkata President Ajayeb Sing, Bangladesh Gurdwara Management Committee President Parash Lal Beghi, Vice President Chitta Francis Rebeiru, General Secretary P R Biswas along with many Sikh devotees from abroad.
