Nat'l hockey team to leave for India today


Bangladesh national hockey team will leave for India today to play a six-match preparation tournament in Bengaluru ahead of the Asian Games Hockey, says a press release. 

Bangladesh national side will play two matches against India Jr side and four matches against India 'A' from June 29 to July 6, all matches scheduled to be held at Netaji Subhash Southern Centre. Bangladesh team will return home on July 8.

Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) announced the team on Monday for the preparation tournament. However, the seven-team Asian Games Hockey will be held in August -September 2018 at Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

Bangladesh squad: Asim Gope, Abu Sayed Nippon, Mamunur Rahman Chayan, Imran Hasan Pintu, Khorshadur Rahman, Farhad Ahmed Shetul (captain), Mohammad Ashraful Islam (vice-captain), Hasan Jubair Niloy, Sarower Hossain, Fazla Hossain Rabby, Mohammad Roman Sarkar, Naim Uddin, Mahbub Hossain, Rashel Mahamud, Pushkor Khisha Mimo,  Milon Hossain, Mainul Islam and Deen Islam Emon.
