Indefinite bus strike continues in Chuadanga

The indefinite bus strike enforced by the transport owners and workers of the district is being continued for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday.

The district unit of Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Malik-Sramik Oikya Parishad on Thursday called the strike for an indefinite period centering an internal conflict between the transport owners of two districts - Jhenidah and Chuadanga.

The movement of highway coaches and buses stayed off the roads causing immense sufferings to the passengers.
District Minibus Owners Samiti President Salauddin said the transport owners of Jhenidah stopped a bus of 'Royal Express' on July 25 and did not allow it to pass through the upazila.

"The indefinite strike will continue until the problem is not solved," he further said.
