Farman new MD and CEO of AIBL

Prominent banker Farman R Chowdhury joined Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, one of the largest Shariah based bank of the country, as Managing Director and CEO from today.

Prior to his joining he was the Managing Director and CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited and ONE Bank Limited and served there 5 years  and 6 years respectively. Chowdhury started his banking career in October 1986 as a Management Trainee in American Express Bank and served there for 12 years in various capacities.

Later on, he joined ONE Bank Ltd in July 1999 as its first Branch Manager and served there up to July 2013 including holding the position of Managing Director for 6 years. With vast experience in banking operation especially in credit and marketing functions, he received trainings in banking.
