Electoral enquiry body formed in Nilphamari


Electoral Enquiry Committee has been formed in Nilphamari to prevent and control the pre-election irregularities with the power of the Article 91A of The Representation of the People Order, 1972 (P.O No. 155 of 1972).

Election Commission has taken the program all over the country. Md Mahamud Hasan, Joint District and Sessions Judge of Nilphamari, was selected as the president of the six number election investigation committee while Begum Fatima Khatun , assistant Judge, was included in the committee as a member.

They will perform their duty of Parliamentary seat 12 (Nilphamari-1) and Parliamentary seat 13 (Nilphamari-3). Similarly, Khondoker A.T.M Tofayel, Judge (joint District Judge), Land Survey Tribunal, was selected as the president of the seven number election investigation committee while Md. Belayet Hossain, assistant Judge, was included in the committee as a member. They will perform their duty of Parliamentary seat 14 (Nilphamari-2) and Parliamentary seat 15 (Nilphamari-4).

The aim of the two committees is to work officially and in the field. They will receive any written complaint from anyone. Then they investigate it seriously to make a congenial environment of the election according to law. To conduct their work properly, separate offices have been made in District Judge Court in Nilphamari.
