The country's and campus based highest 'Mrittunjoye Mujib' mural has been established at the Islamic University in Kushita to hold the memory and ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari installed the mural adjacent to the university's main entrance on the campus for keeping alive the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman among the new generation of the country.

University Chancellor Abdul Hamid inaugurated the mural on January 7, 2018. Designed by IU acting Chief Engineer Alimuzzaman Tutul and co-funded by university authorities and IU Management department former student Jalal Uddin Tuhin, the Tk. 37 lakh project is the highest Bangabandhu Mural ever. 

High amount of visitors, especially school and college students, from different parts of the country comes to the university to visit the mural and its beautiful green scenery which can be easily identified while using the Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway.

IUJA president Abdullah Al-Faruk expressed solemn gratitude to university authorities for establishing the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 'We have to cherish the dream of Bangabandhu to make a non-communal Digital Bangladesh where there will be no discrimination among the people of the country', he added.

IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari told The Asian Age that they installed the mural on campus for establishing the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, adding that, the new generation would be encouraged to know about Bangabandhu through the mural.
