Mass reception accorded to Sheuly Azad MP

A grand reception has been accorded to Umme Fatema Nazma Begum popularly known as Sheuly Azad for being elected as a lawmaker reserved for women in the 11 parliament.

Thousands of people attended the program organized by Upazila Awami League in Sarail of Brahmanbaria on Saturday. A festive atmosphere prevailed in the area on the occasion of the mass reception. Front organizations of Awami League, different socio-cultural organizations and common people received their beloved leader with flowers. Upazila Awami League convener Advocate Nazmul Hossain presided over the function.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, an emotional Sheuly Azad, also joint convener-1 of Sarail Upazila Awami League, said, "I want to materialize the dream of my late husband. I have become a lawmaker by dint of your love, prayers and cooperation. I am grateful and indebted to you. I want to serve you through my works."

It is mentionable that people of Sarail has got a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Awami League after 1973. Sheuly Azad, wife of Late AKM Iqbal Azad who was a popular leader in Sarail, has appeared as a beacon of hope. People from all walks of life have prayed for the success of Sheuly Azad MP.
