Nasir Uddin elected as chairman of MIDAS Financing

Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury has been elected as the chairman of the Board of Directors of MIDAS Financing Limited for a period of two years at its 303rd Board Meeting held recently.  Currently, Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury is serving as Managing Director of LankaBangla Securities Limited and Director of LankaBangla Investments Limited. Before joining in the current position he was the Managing Director of LankaBangla Finance Limited.

Chowdhury also held the position of Chief Executive Officer of LankaBangla Securities Limited from July 2002 to April 2011. Under his sound and proven leadership LankaBangla Finance Limited and its subsidiaries have been able to hold strong position in the respective industries. Chowdhury is also an active Director of Bengal Meat Processing Industries Ltd.  Chowdhury also served as the Senior Vice President and Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited from May 2010 to March 2011 and May 2008 to May 2010 respectively. Chowdhury Chaired BD Venture Limited, one of the first venture capital organizations in Bangladesh. He is the present President of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association.

Chowdhury completed his post- graduation in Marketing from the University of Chattogram. He also holds Bachelor Degree in Law. He completed Leadership Certificate Course from Harvard School of Business, USA. He is a life member of International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB). He served as the President of Old Faujian's Association, Dhaka Chapter. Chowdhury is an active member of Dhaka Club, Chattogram Club and Uttara Club Ltd. He is the founder Member of Ramu Golf Club, Cox's Bazar.

With this diverse track record, Chowdhury has joined MIDAS Financing Limited to extend his experience in financial sector and willing to make a constructive change by using his long experience. He would be able to play a dynamic and leading role in the business maximization of the company.
