Standard Chartered Bank has recently inaugurated its new Gulshan North Branch at Gulshan Centre Point at Gulshan-2 in the city.The new branch was inaugurated jointly by Robert Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and Judy Hsu, Regional CEO of ASEAN and South Asia of Standard Chartered Bank.
This was Judy's first visit to Bangladesh in 2019, when she met clients and key stakeholders of the Bank, reiterating Standard Chartered's commitment to drive commerce and prosperity for Bangladesh. In addition to best-in-class banking services and convenient location, the Branch offers foreign currency services and locker services for the Bank's clients. The location features separate dedicated premises for Standard Chartered Saadiq with a separate entrance, dedicated counters and relationship managers to serve Saadiq customers with world-class Islamic banking services.
The newly relocated Branch also includes a dedicated Expatriate Advisory Desk. The desk will assist expatriates with banking solutions - including accounts, cards and remittance facilities. Leveraging on its international footprint, Standard Chartered is the first bank in Bangladesh to be offering such a specialised service desk for expatriates. CEO of Standard Chartered Bangladesh Naser Ezaz Bijoy said, "The new Gulshan North branch, conveniently located at the heart of the Gulshan business district and a stone's throw from the Baridhara diplomatic community, brings together a wide range of world-class banking products and service offerings under a single roof."
The opening ceremony of the Gulshan North Branch was attended by valued clients of the bank. Senior officials from Standard Chartered Bangladesh, including Eva Ang, Regional Head, Corporate Affairs and Brand and Marketing, ASEAN and South Asia; Sabbir Ahmed, Head of Retail Banking; Enamul Huque, Head of Global Banking and Bitopi Das Chowdhury, Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing.
