Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq inaugurated a newly built road as the chief guest at Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday. Military and civilian high-ups and concerned city authority staff were present at the inaugural ceremony.      
The Rajanigandha-Banani link road is the main route connecting Mirpur with Banani-Uttara-Gulshan. Civilians and military persons used to use the road as Anowara Girls School, Adamzi Cantt Public School and Muslim Modern School are situated by the road.
Initiative was taken to ease the load on the route in 2015. DNCC funded the project while 17 engineer construction battalion of Bangladesh Army build the road under supervision of Special Works Organization (West). Communication of students, guardians, civilians and military personnel will be easier and safe through the new road, an ISPR release on Wednesday said.
