Fruit tree fair starts in Mathabaria

A three-day fruit tree fair-2019 has been started by the arrangement of the administration of Mathbariya Upazila and Agriculture Extension Department in Pirojpur on Sunday.Upazila chairman Riaz Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the fruit fair at the Upazila Parishad premises as the chief guest. Later, a Malta sapling was planted at the Upazila Agriculture Office.

At the end of the discussion meeting at the Upazila Agriculture Office Auditorium, Agriculture Officer Muhammad Moniruzzaman addressed the meeting, Upazila Chairman Md. Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chairman Arifur Rahman Sifat, Press Club President Zahid Uddin Palash, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Shawkat Hossain, journalist Mizanur Rahman Mizu, farmer Machud Alam so on.

Then, different types of fruit saplings were distributed to a municipality of the upazila's 23 educational institute and 2 clusters of villages. It is to be mentioned that there are 12 different exhibit stalls displaying different types of fruit tree plants available in the fair.
