Mohammad Rana, a 10 years old street child in Dhaka city, has rocked the social media in recent times with his rap songs. He wanted to go to school and have three meals a day. But he could not attend school due to poverty. His songs speak of these desires.
Video clips featuring Mohammad Rana and his rap songs have gone viral on social networks including Facebook, reports BBC World. Mohammad Rana has been named Bangladesh's 'Gully Boy' alluding to a Hindi movie with this title which was released in February 2019.
Mahmud Hasan Tabib, a student of Dhaka University, identified Mohammad Rana's talent and started grooming him. It is Mahmud Hasan Tabib who videotaped Mohammad Rana's rap songs and uploaded these things on Facebook. Mahmud Hasan Tabib said that Mohammad Rana has an outstanding aptitude for rap songs.
Rana can become an extraordinary rapper if he is properly trained and taken care of, Mahmud Hasan Tabib further said. Mahmud Hasan Tabib listened to Mohammad Rana's life story and hit upon the idea of making Rana known to people through social media.
Mohammad Rana cherishes ambitions to someday enroll in school and pass all exams to study in college and Dhaka University. He dreams of becoming a great rapper in future.
