Goods laden trucks get stuck in Akhaura Port Goods-laden trucks waiting in a long queue at Akhaura Land Port to travel to India as newly-launched Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system at Agartala International Land Port in India takes time to process data. -AA
Because of having inaugurated new technology's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system at Agartala International Land Port in India many goods laden trucks get stuck in Akhaura Land Port.

Though it was about to restart the business on Saturday after six days Eid vacation, import and export business has been stopped in Akhaura- Agartala Land Port for an uncertain period.

Traders of Akhaura Land Port told that the Indian Customs Officers did not noticed before starting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system in Agartala Land Port. Because of this sudden change business of two countries has stopped which creating problems to the traders of both countries.

President of C and F Association in Akhaura Land Port, Mobarak Hossain Bhuiyan told that because of this EDI complication of Indian customs authorities' deciduous goods of Bangladeshi trucks waiting to be exported in India at Akhaura Land Port which causing a great financial  loss  to the trades.

Akhaura Customs Super Shantiboron Chakma said, 'We have no issues in our land port; as soon as the Indian customs issues solve our trucks will be entered into the India'.
