PSTU engineer held on graft charge
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday arrested Md Yunus Sharif, superintending engineer of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), for embezzling Tk 5,350,390.
ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB that an ACC team, Patuakhali arrested the engineer from Dumki Bazar at noon.
ACC deputy director of the district co-ordinated office of Patuakhali Mozahar Ali Sarkar, investigation officer, filed the case today with the same office.
According to the document, Yunus Sharif embezzled the money from June, 2016 to June, 2017 from six projects of the university through forgery.
