CCC Mayor declares war  against corruption CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin speaking at a human-chain for welcoming Prime Minister's cleansing campaign against corruption, terrorism and irregularities on Saturday in front of the Chattogram Press Club.

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has welcomed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's cleansing campaign against corruption, terrorism and irregularities, saying, "We are also declaring war against irregularities in Chattog-ram." He made the announcement at a civic gathering in front of the Chattogram Press Club on Saturday noon.

AJM Nasir Uddin said, "We are also declaring war in Chattogram against corruption, gambling and casinos as directed by the Prime Minister." The Prime Minister, who started the purification campaign from his own house, is a landmark in the history of Bangladesh politics. This is a message for the party leaders.

He said Prime Minister made her position clear that zero tolerance against terrorism. Citizens have to be more responsible for the political power centered on the murder of Abrar so that democracy in the country cannot compromise on stability. Despite being a relative, the Prime Minister has been tough on the Jubo League president. His (Jubo League president's) foreign travel ban and bank accounts have been summoned, which is instructive in Bangladesh politics.

The program was presided over by Bangladesh Federal Journalists' Union Vice-President Riaz Haider Chowdhury and welcomed by writer Sheikh Mujib Ahmed. Muktijoddha Chattogram Metropolitan Awami League Vice-President Naeem Uddin Chowdhury, freedom fighter and environmentalist Professor Muhammad Idris Ali, Organizing Secretary Noman Al Mahmud, Central Labor League Joint Secretary Safar Ali, Chattogram Abahani founding General Secretary Didarul Alam Chowdhury,

Chattogram Metropolitan Awami League leader and former Councilor Jalal Uddin Iqbal, Mohammad Isa, CCC Councilor Gias Uddin, former member of central Jubo League   Abdul Mannan Ferdous, Shoibal Dash Sumon and Bangabandhu Engineer Council Vice-President Engineer Probir Kumar Sen has also spoken at the program.

Professional Coordinat-ing Council and convener of civil unity General Secretary Riaz Haider Chowdhury said, it has not been noticed such a strong position of administration and fast tracking and arrest of accused for campus killing in any university of the country before in Bangladesh. This was became possible because of the strict instruction of the Prime Minister. Chattogram also thanked Prime Minister Zero Tolerance against terrorism, casinos, drug, militancy and black money.

Rabindra Sangeet Shommilon Parishad General Secretary Anup Saha,  former Vice-President of Tax Lawyer Shomiti Adv Ahsan Ullah, General Secretary of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council Nitai Prasad Ghosh and Chattogram Metropolitan Pooja Udjapon Parishad former General Secretary Suman Debnath were present at the program.
