Bangabandhu's portrait inaugurated in Burichang

'Chetonay Bangabandhu' the design and construction work of a portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was officially inaugurated at Burichong upazila parishad area in Burichong of Cumilla on Saturday.

Member of the Presidium of Bangladesh Awami League and Former Law Minister Abdul matin Khasru MP inaugurated the portrait of Bangabandhu. Burichong Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Imrul Hasan took the initiative of establishing the portrait 'Chetonay Bangabandhu'.

He said, 'As Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced 2020 as 'Mujibbarsha', we will try our best to finish the construction work of the portrait before March 17 on 2020; so that the people of Burichong can offer their gratitude and respect on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibibur Rahman on the day'.

Designer Uttam Guha designed the portrait. Burichong Upazila Chairman Akhlak Hayder, Upazila Deputy Commander of the freedom fighter Md Fazar Ali, FF Abdus Salam Khandaker, Burrichang Upazila Awami League Leader Md Moshiur Khan, Delwar Hossain Bacchu and others were present there.
