South Korean Company HKD Outdoor Innovations Limited is going to expand their business with the investment of US$ 20 million more to establish a new unit of tent and garments manufacturing industry in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone.

Regarding to this, an agreement has been signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and HKD Outdoor Innovations Ltd at BEPZA complex in the capital on Thursday.

BEPZA member (investment promotion) Zillur Rahman and HKD Outdoor Innovations Ltd Chief Operating Officer Se Kyu Sun signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

This fully foreign owned company will produce world famous branded tent and tent accessories and readymade garments items like tops, short pant, head wear, neck warmer, lingre, musk, tops etc. HKD Outdoor Innovations Ltd will create employment opportunity for 6700 Bangladeshi nationals.

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General SM Salahuddin Islam, member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Chief Engineer Md Ashraful Kabir, General Manager (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, and HKD Outdoor Innovations Ltd Executive Director Rafat Hussain were present at the signing ceremony.
