ICPC Asia Dhaka regional contest held at SEU

International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Dhaka Region 2019 hosted by Southeast University (SEU) was held on 15-16 November at the university premises. One hundred and ninety teams from different public and private universities and a few colleges and polytechnic institutions across the country participated in this grand event.

The closing and award giving ceremony took place at Jamuna Future Park Convention Center on Saturday. Prof Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of SEU Chaired the ceremony while Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP,  State Minister, ICT Division was the Chief Guest.

National Prof Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific, Partha Pratim Deb, Executive Director, BCC and N M Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary of ICT Division attended the event as special guests.

The chief judge of the contest was Professor M Kaykobad of BUET and Judging Director was Hasnain Heickal, Assistant Professor of University of Dhaka.

The Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up of the contest were Team HellBent, Team Gifted Hypocrites and Team Doofenshmirtz Inc. from BUET respectively. M Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Represen-tative Member of Board of Trustees (BoT), Md Rezaul Karim, Chairman, BoT of SEUT, Prof Dr Abul L Haque, Contest Director, Asia Dhaka Regional Site, others, Registrar, Deans, Chairmen, Directors, faculty members and officials of SEU attended the program, among others.
