'Even junior leaders are buying cars, flats in America'

Roads, Transports, Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader's younger brother Abdul Quader Mirza has recently come in spotlight by speaking out different allegations about the ruling party's leaders.Abdul Quader Mirza said on Wednesday through a live video clip from Basurhat, Noakhali that even small political leaders have become filthy rich by unfair means.

These inconspicuous leaders are buying flats and cars in the United States of America with their illegally earned money, according to Abdul Quader Mirza. He further said that some of these leaders are getting involved in drugs, casino scams and womanizing in foreign countries.

Abdul Quader Mirza added that people beat up drunks for taking a little wine while police guard the wine parties of Members of Parliament (MPs) giving them salutes. Abdul Quader Mirza is a mayoral candidate in the upcoming Basurhat municipality election. He expressed hope that he would win the polls if the election is held in a free and fair way. Abdul Quader Mirza stated that he and his supporters would make the best of their efforts so that nobody can make the election questionable.

Abdul Quader Mirza asserted that police, administration, Deputy Commissioner and electoral officials will have to give answers if irregularities happen in the election. He blamed some leaders of the ruling party for showing off muscle power. These leaders are responsible for making Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's image debatable, Abdul Quader Mirza commented.
