One of the most handsome men in Bollywood, Arjun Rampal, is earning good reviews for his performance as a defence lawyer in the courtroom drama, Nail Polish. The actor became a dad for the third time in 2019 when his partner, Gabriella Demetriades, delivered a baby boy. The actor spent the pandemic with his baby boy who turned one some months ago. He told BollywoodLife in an exclusive chat, "He is the best company to have. He is my buddy. Being with him was a lot of fun. I am full of gratitude for the time I spent with him in this pandemic.
My daughters dote on him. He is a complete charmer. Once this pandemic gets over, when you get to meet him, you will know what a charmer he is." Arjun Rampal spoke about how he consciously took on little work in the past five years as he wanted to concentrate on his family. "I had consciously reduced my work. My mom was not well. She was diagnosed with cancer. My priority was to spend time with her.
I have done only five projects, Daddy, Rock On 2, Kahaani, Paltan and Final Call in the past five years. For an actor, it is not much work. But my priority was my family. I was also going through a separation. I wanted to be there for my kids. It is only after 2018 that I started concentrating again on work. I feel blessed that makers find me good enough to give me good challenging parts."
The actor was criticized for his lack of acting skills at the start of his career. But he has been very versatile in picking up projects and characters thereon. Arjun Rampal not only survived, but also grew immensely over the decade. He has had his low phases. Arjun told us, "You know you survive the low phases. You have done your best in a film, maybe people did not see it as much. I think you should ask yourself if you wish to see the movie in your filmography or not."
The actor is also producing a couple of web series in 2021. "There are two projects in the pipeline. Both are very big ambitious projects. The OTT platform is very refreshing for an artiste. You can explore and experiment with a lot of freedom. Your work is available for the global audience and has longevity. People got used to the OTT format due to the pandemic. It will surely impact story-telling in the movies," he signed off.
