Kulsum Zaman passes away

 
Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra's vocal artiste Kulsum Zaman passed away on Saturday morning in the capital's Ever Care Hospital. She was 82 years old at the time of her death. Her Namaj-e-Janaza was held in Gulshan's Azad Mosque on the same day. She is supposed to be buried in her family graveyard in Tangail.

Kulsum Zaman is mother-in-law of Mozammel Babu who is President of Editors' Guild and Chief Editor of Ekattor Television. At the same time she is mother of Khandaker Mashiuzzaman Romel, President of Dhaka Club.

Kulsum Zaman is the wife of Khandaker Asaduzzaman, former adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mujibnagar Government's former finance secretary, former parliamentarian and a freedom fighter. Kulsum Zaman's daughter Aparajita Haque is a Member of Parliament (MP).
