DG PIB Shah Alamgir reappointed

Shah Alamgir has been reappointed as Director General (DG) of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) for a period of two years effective. A gazette notification, regarding the issue, was published on July 31 from Ministry of Public Administration.      
Alamgir was first appointed to the same post in 2013. A career journalist, Alamgir obtained BA (Hons) and MA in Bangla literature from the University of Dhaka. He obtained a diploma in journalism from Moscow Institute of Journalism.
An active unionist, he served DUJ and Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) in different capacities.
