Locals alleged that 28 houses next to the horticulture project in the Madla area, 18 houses next to the old Guccah gram and 56 houses further inside the Madla hills are being built using substandard and low quality materials.

At the request of the local people, it can be seen that the bricks that have been installed on the walls are of low quality. Bt sand has also been used in walls and plaster.

Bayek Union Awami League joint-general secretary Nurunnabi Ajmal said, "The houses under Ashrayan Project 2 are being constructed using substandard and low quality materials. If journalists do not see these who will see? We are the people of the government party."

Bayek Union Parishad Chairman Al Mamun Bhuiyan said, "I told the Upazila Nirbahi Officer that the construction work is being constructed using substandard materials. It is not right to use these low quality bricks and sand. Wherever there are problems, these are in the process of being fixed. There will be no more low quality work. Red sand is being brought with the exception of Bt sand."

In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Masud Ul Alam said, "the low quality bricks and Bt sand have been asked to be removed immediately. If these goods are used again, legal action will be taken against the suppliers of the goods."
