Navy distributes humanitarian aid to poor in capital

Bangladesh Navy on Monday distributed humanitarian assistance to the needy, helpless and uprooted people in different areas of the capital city to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. Under the supervision of BNS Sheikh Mujib Base, the naval personnel provided food to 1000 floating destitute and helpless families at water tank, Namapara slum, Banshpara slum, Bahantech, Banani and Gulshan areas, the Bss reports.

They distributed various food items including rice, pulses, sugar, oil, flour and salt, said a press release. It is to be noted that the Bangladesh Navy has been conducting these activities regularly with the help of helpless and destitute people in remote areas of the country including Dhaka to deal with this critical situation of the country and this activity will continue till the situation improves.
