Banbat-4 hands over police box in South Sudan

Bangladeshi Battalion (Banbat-4) deployed in the UN peacekeeping mission UNMIS hands over five police boxes to the traffic police of South Sudan on 28 June this year. As part of public welfare activities, the police boxes, built with Bangladesh Battalion (Banbat-4) 's own funds, were handed over to Brigadier General Garmier Maker, Director of Traffic Police, West Bahr Al Ghazal State. This police box will play a helpful role in carrying out the duties of the traffic police in a very smooth and efficient manner in inclement weather. As a result, it will be easier to control the movement of vehicles, ensure the safety on the road and control the extra crowd on the road. The state police commissioner, traffic police director, and other local officers of West Bahr al-Ghazal lauded the initiative taken for the local public by Banbat-4. This great initiative is expected to take the acceptance and reputation of Bangladeshi peacekeepers deployed in South Sudan to a different level.
