Dev, Rukmini in Darjeeling to shoot the last leg of Kishmish

Dev, Rukmini in Darjeeling to shoot the last leg of Kishmish

Be it the picturesque Kanchenjunga in the backdrop or the clear blue skies, the beauty of Hill station Ghoom adds the much-needed flavour to Dev and Rukmini's 'Kishmish' shooting. After reaching Darjeeling on Sunday afternoon they started the shoot on Monday. Most of the shoot has been done in Kolkata and after wrapping up the Kolkata schedule they have now started shooting for the last leg in Darjeeling.

Incidentally, the Rahool Mukherjee-directed film was supposed to release during this Durga Puja but due to the Pandemic and delayed shooting the release has been shifted to winter.

"The last leg of the shoot is yet to complete. The Darjeeling schedule is for 10 days. Frankly speaking, the Hills have always been my lucky charm like the box office 'Saanj Bati', my last released film. Hope the weather stays good to complete the shoot within the scheduled time," shared an excited Dev adding that he's eagerly waiting for his Puja release, the much-awaited 'Golondaaj' directed by Dhrubo Banerjee.

Interestingly, Dev will play four different characters for separate timelines, from age 16-17 to 45, in the film and while prepping for the role he lost a staggering 15 kgs.

Besides Dev and Rukmini Maitra, 'Kishmish' also stars Kharaj Mukherjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anjana Basu and, June Malia in key roles. We would also see Ankush, Rituparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta and Srabanti Chatterjee in cameos.

The romantic comedy, with some exciting 2D animation, talks about love in three different timelines. One of the stories has a political background too. What today's generation thinks about love will be shown in this film.
