Bangamata Parishad observes PM's birthday
Bangamata Parishad observed the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday. The organization also held a discussion program in the capital's National Museum on the same day.

The program was moderated by Bangamata Parishad's General Secretary Anisur Rahman. Former minister Muhammad Faruk Khan MP attended the program as chief guest. It was presided over by Sector Commanders Forum's Joint General Secretary Abdul Mabud PPM.

Muhammad Faruk Khan MP said that Bangladesh has obtained immense socio-economic advancement during last several years under Sheikh Hasina's leadership. Muhammad Faruk Khan MP termed Sheikh Hasina as a capable successor of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina.

Bangamata Parishad's patron Shoeb Chowdhury stated that Sheikh Hasina is a highly humanitarian leader and stateswoman whose comparison is difficult to find in the present world. Sheikh Hasina has attained the title "Mother of Humanity" from the international platforms for sheltering over one million Rohingya refugees on the soil of Bangladesh despite all odds. Full credit goes to Sheikh Hasina for signing the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Treaty in December 1997, Shoeb Chowdhury recalled. Shoeb Chowdhury regretted that people who have no contribution in peace and sports have received Nobel Prize and Olympic Laurel while Sheikh Hasina deserves these awards most. Shoeb Chowdhury expressed hope that someday Sheikh Hasina will also be adorned with highest awards for her achievement in securing peace and stability and transforming Bangladesh into a development role model to the entire world. Sheikh Hasina has meanwhile achieved a broad number of awards and honours from different international organizations for her outstanding role, Shoeb Chowdhury commented.

Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's relentless efforts have expedited the development wheels of Bangladesh and have glorified Bangladesh on the global stage.

Member of Parliament Parveen Haque Sikder, Professor Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua, Nirmal Rosario and Barrister Naim Hasan also spoke on the occasion.
