Universal Medical College holds free medical camp

A free medial camp was held by Universal Medical College Hospital on Tuesday in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on the occasion of Sharadiyo Durga Puja.

At the initiative of Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty, managing director of Universal Medical College Hospital, the day-long specialized medical camp was arranged on the premises of upazila livestock office marking 12 years of Durga Puja in his village Uchhaliapara.

Over five hundred patients from different areas of the upazila got specialized medical services in the camp. Medicines were also distributed free among the service-seeking people.

Dr Ashish Chakraborty said, “Universal Medical College is not a mere private institution. It is liable to society. Medical services were provided to the poor and marginalized people free of cost on the occasion of Durga Puja. Such program will continue in future.”
