Jalalabad gas profits Tk 263.95cr

The 35th Annual General Meeting of Sylhet Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Limited (JGTDSL) for the financial year 2020-2021 was held at a city hotel on Saturday. ABM Abdul Fattah, Chairman of JGTDSL Board of Directors and Petrobangla, presided over the meeting where audited accounts of the company was also approved in the meeting.

The shareholders and the directors present in the meeting were informed that the company earned a total of Tk 3,019.74 crore as revenue which included sales revenue of Tk 2,828.59 crore and other income of Tk 191.15 crore during the fiscal year 2020-2021.

The company earned Tk 263.95 crore before tax profit and the company deposited a total of Tk 166.88 crore to the national exchequer as DSL, dividend, income tax and import duty, which was Tk 141.34 crore in the preceding year. Among others, Energy and Mineral Resources Division Senior Secretary Md Anisur Rahman, shareholders, directors, Managing Director and the high officials of the company were also present in the meeting.
