The closing ceremony of the joint training exercise 'Exercise Tiger Shark-38' between Bangladesh Navy and the United States Navy was held at Banauja Nirvik in Chattogram on Thursday (December 2).

Rear Admiral M Mozammel Haque, Regional Commander of Chittagong Naval Area was present on the closing ceremony of the exercise as the chief guest, said an ISPR press release. In addition, selected representatives from the USA Embassy in Dhaka took part in the exercise. Among others, officers of the Armed Forces Division, Army, Navy and Chittagong Naval Area and invited guests were present on the occasion. Special forces from Bangladesh Army, Navy and USA participated in the training exercise under the management of Commodore SWADS Command. The training exercise was kicked off on November 8.  The main objective of this joint training exercise was to develop the existing good relations between the United States and Bangladesh Navy as well as to increase the technical capabilities of the navies of both the countries and to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge on advanced technology.
