BARC hosts seminar on safe livestock food production

A seminar titled “Safe Livestock Food Production in Bangladesh: Status and Way Forward” was held in Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) on Sunday (February 27).    

BARC Executive Chairman Dr Sheikh Mohammad Bakhtiar attended the program as the chief guest while Dr SM Jahangir Hossain, Director General of BLRI was present as the special guest.  

It was presided over by Dr Nazmun Nahar Karim, Member Director (Livestock) of BARC. BARC Chief Scientific Officer Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam gave the welcome speech at the seminar.  

Dr Nathuram Sarker, Dr Monirul Islam, Dr MA Saleque, Dr Ainul Haque participated in the discussion at the seminar.  

The speakers appreciated BARC for organizing the seminar. At the same time they laid emphasis on more coordination between all the organizations in the livestock sector.
