Manabik Daudkandi distributes 'Eid gifts' among poor, helpless

Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, 15 Eid items were distributed free of cost through Eid bazar among 250 helpless and destitute people in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla.  

Manabik Daudkandi, a humanitarian organization in the upazila organized the Eid bazar at the premises of municipal councillor Sumon Khandaker's office on Sunday (May 1) noon.  

The gift items included pulao rice 1 kg, sugar 1 kg, 5 kg rice, two types of vermicelli, powdered milk, cocoa stick noodles, flour 1 kg, one litre of soybean, potato 1 kg, onion 1 Kg, 1 kg chicken, 1 kg chips, 1 piece soap and 1 kg pulse.  

During the distribution of Eid items, Convener of Manabik Daudkandi, councillor Md Billal Hossain Khandaker Sumon said, “Like every year, we have stood beside poor and helpless people of the upazila. Please pray for us so that our organization, Manabik Daudkandi can stand beside the helpless people every year.”  

Social activist Touhid Rubel, member secretary of Manabik Daudkandi, said, “By the grace of Almighty Allah, we were able to distribute Eid gifts through Eid bazaar among 250 helpless families of Daudkandi. I wish blessings to all so that I can stand beside poor people all the time.”     

Councillor Md Salauddin, a member of Manabik Daudkandi, said, “Thanks to Allah, we have been able to give Eid items to 250 helpless people through the initiative of Manabik Daudkandi. Thanks to all the members, convener and member secretary of the organization.”  

Among others, member secretary of Manabik Daudkandi Touhid Rubel, members Md Gias Uddin, Md Salauddin, Md Hossain Mia, Modhu Sarker, Himel, Rudra and Shawon Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
