First JNINC Conference in Chittagong University First Jamal Nazrul Islam National Young Researcher Conference-2022' is being organized at Chittagong University (CU) for the first time in the country in memory of prominent scientist, researcher and mathematician professor Jamal Nazmul Islam.
Emran Emon, CU : 'First Jamal Nazrul Islam National Young Researcher Conference-2022' is being organized at Chittagong University (CU) for the first time in the country in memory of prominent scientist, researcher and mathematician professor Jamal Nazmul Islam.

The conference will be held on Saturday (May 21) at the auditorium of the Faculty of Business Administration.

A total of 524 researchers from 75 institutions including different universities of the country will participate in it. After being selected from a total of 900 research papers, 420 research papers were finalized. Of these, there are 74 researchers from Chittagong University.  At the conference, 18 people will be awarded in six categories of research. In addition, 21 people will get prizes in 7 categories for research ideas.  Summaries of selected research and research ideas will be published later in the magazine.

524 young researchers from 75 universities and institutes will take part in the conference to be held on May 21 under the theme 'The next generation on the path of imagination and innovation'.  The conference will be attended by undergraduate and postgraduate students and young researchers in six categories: Physical Sciences & Engineering, Biological, Pharmaceutical & Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural, Plant & Environmental Sciences, Medical & Health Sciences, Business Studies, Humanities, Social Sciences & Law

The keynote address will be presented by the World Health Organization board member researcher Dr. Senjuti Saha.  Former BUET professor and former BRAC University Vice-Chancellor Ainun Nishat will also be the spotlight speaker.  Arshad Momen, professor of the Department of Physics, University of Dhaka will be the keynote speaker on the topic of 'Jamal Nazrul Islam Memorial Lecture'.  Munir Hasan, Founder General Secretary of Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad Committee will be the keynote speaker in the episode 'Motivation of Youth in Science Research'.  Ekushey Medal-winning economist Dr. Moinul Islam and poet-journalist Abul Momen will be present as a guest of honor.

Apart from this, there will be presentations of various notable research works of the youth, exhibition of research posters, famous three minute thesis of Australia in Bengal, Jamal Nazrul Islam commemorative lecture, documentary exhibition, distribution of honors and prizes.  Young researchers from different institutions including Dhaka University, Chittagong University, BUET, Asian Women's University, ICDDRB, BRAC University, Child Health Research Foundation, Jahangirnagar University, Agricultural University and National University will take part in it.

Professor Dr. Anjan Kumar Chowdhury will preside over the conference.  Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University Professor Shireen Akhter will be present as a chief guest. CU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Benu Kumar Dey, Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Nasim Hasan, University Grants Commission member Professor Muhammad Alamgir, Sadaf Siddiqui and Nargis Islam, daughters of Jamal Nazrul Islam will be present as a special guest. In addition, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni and Deputy Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel will be virtually involved in the conference.

The research conference is being organized by Jamal Nazrul Islam Research Center for Mathematical and Physical Sciences of Chittagong University and Chittagong University Research and Higher Study Society (CURHS).
