Mahila Bishoyok Odhidoptor has launched a karate training workshop marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for the school kids around the country under the supervision of Film actor Masum Parvez Rubel.

Rubel said, earlier Mahila Bishoyok Odhidoptor launched dancing and singing workshops, this is the first time the department launched workshop of different dimension.  Under the leadership of the honorable PM Sheikh Hasina the karate training workshop has been added, I am highly grateful to the PM for giving me the opportunity to supervise the karate training workshop around the country." The workshop will be conducted on 4800 unions of the country, added the veteran actor on Saturday.

Until now Rubel visited 37 upazila and inaugurated karate training workshops, and assigned his students for a specific area. A total of 150 professional karate students of Rubel have been assigned by the actor himself to coordinate the workshop. The workshop started on January 2022, and it will be conducted throughout this year, said Rubel. However, during the month of Ramadan the activity was comparatively low, it will speed up from the upcoming week added Rubel.

Nowadays several news can are aired of domestic violence, mugging, eve teasing, drug abuse, obesity and many more said Rubel. "By this project I can guarantee that these rates will decrease because karate not only teaches to fight it teaches discipline, respect, and punctuality in other words it is way of life," said Rubel.

When questioned regarding the obstacles of the karate training program, Rubel said whenever something good happens there are drawbacks. However, he is not bothered by these because he ignores these as he is living his dream. Rubel said, "Till now I have trained thousands of students, but I always dreamed every Bangladeshi house having one karateka. Maybe, Almighty listened to my prayers and granted me this way to fulfill the dream, by this project I can reach to all the parts of the country and spread my knowledge of karate."

"In the country there are many good karate coaches than me, but I can say that no one in the country has the same love and devotion I have. I practice every day around the year, till now 42 years has passed practicing karate and I don't remember a day when I missed practice."

Masum Parvez Rubel is the first national karate champion which was held on 1982, he was the champion on open weight division, he also aced the national karate championship on 1983 at the open weight division.    

He has been training karate for more than 42 years, under his karate school "Young Dragon Martial Art Center- the fight school", he trained thousands of students among which many of them reined in the karate championships nationally and internationally. Many of his students went further training
