New DC joins in Sherpur

 
Sahela Akhter joined as new Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sherpur on Monday last.  She has been in office regularly since Tuesday.

Now she came from deputy secretary, ministry of public administration. Sahela Akter as DC Md Mominur Rashid was replaced.

On the occasion, the district administration organized a bid farewell to DC Mominur Rashid and welcomed the new DC Sahela Akhter. At the beginning of the outgoing DC Mominur Rashid greeted the news DC Sahela Akhter.

Chief executive officer (deputy secretary) of the district council Syed AZ Morshed Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC Overall) Moktadirul Alam and other officials and employees of the district administration, journalists of different media were present. Sahela Akhter was born in Narayanganj district sadar in Muslim family. She obtained her master's degree from Dhaka University. She started her career as a cadre in the 24th BCS as an assistant commissioner in Naogaon. New DC Sahela Akhter said, "I have been maintaining duty with skill and sincerity. I will try to be everywhere for the development of Sherpur and make a district which will be free from drug, crime and early-marriage." She sought cooperation from all journalists of the district. "I believe that Sherpur will be free from all crime through strong effort from law enforcing agencies and media persons", DC Sahela Akhter added.
