A training workshop on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 10 special creative initiatives was held at Debidwar upazila in Cumilla on Tuesday. With the help of Governance Innovation Unit of Prime Minister's Office, the upazila administration organized the daylong workshop at the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer yesterday.

Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ashiq Un Nabi, the workshop was addressed by Cumilla Local Government Division Deputy Director Mohammad Shawkat Osman as the chief guest.  The meeting discussed the ten initiatives- Palli Sanchay Bank, Ashrayan Project, Digital Bangladesh, Educational Assistance Programme, door-to-door electricity, Community Clinic and Mental Health, Social Safety Net Programme, Expansion of Investment and Safety on Environment. Addressing the meeting, LGD Deputy Director Mohammad Shawkat Osman said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 10 special creative initiatives have become an exemplary for the world." "If these initiatives are implemented properly, nobody will remain lag-behind. We are working at field level to implement these initiatives," he added. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Gias Uddin, Debidwar Upazila Vice-Chairman Advocate Nazma Begum and former Zila Parishad Member Shirin Sultana were present as special guests.

A total of 50 participants including officials of different government departments, public representatives, civil society representatives, journalists, NGO workers and political leaders joined in the workshop.
