Bridge on Kopotakkho river demanded in Keshabpur

Several hundreds of people staged a human chain demanding a concrete bridge over Kopotakkho River in Sagardidhi union under Keshabpur upazila of Jashore. The human chain was held at Komorpur Kheyaghat Par under Sagardidhi union in the upazila on Friday afternoon. Residents of villages under Sagardidhi union have been suffering for a long time for the lack of a concrete bridge the river. Addressing the human chain, speakers said despite repeated pleas after the independence by local public representatives, no step has been taken for constructing a bridge over the river. Due to the lack of a bridge, development of this area is being hampered. Farmers aren't getting fair prices of their produces and being affected economically due to transportation problem.School-going children aren't attending school in due time because of the lack of a bridge over the river.Local people demanded an immediate move from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to construct a concrete bridge over Kopotakkho river.
