Arifur Rahman new Sirajganj SP

Arifur Rahman Mondal BPM (bar), PPM (bar) has been made the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sirajganj district by an office order of the Ministry of Home of the Government of Bangladesh on Wednesday. Arifur Rahman is a member of 25th BCS (Police) batch who served as Probationary ASP in Thakurgaon district, ASP (Sadar and A Circle) and Additional SP (East) in Bogura district and Additional SP of PBI, Rangpur. Finally, he was promoted as SP in 2019 while he was serving in Bogura district police.

Later, Arifur Rahman was transferred to police headquarters as AIG (UN Affairs and Development) and on Wednesday, he was appointed as the SP of Sirajganj district.Arifur Rahman served in the UN mission in East Timor and Sudan as a peacekeeper. He achieved prestigious BPM award two times and PPM award two times in the four subsequent years from 2017 to 2020 and he is the only police officer in police force who achieved such awards in the subsequent four years for his outstanding activities against militancy around moving in the 50 districts of the country. Arifur Rahman is father of one daughter and one son and his wife Nayer Sultana serves as the education officer in Kalai upazila in Joypurhat district. He hails from Chokchokia village under Shaghata upazila in Gaibandha district and studied in the department of English at Govt. Azizul Haque College in Bogura.
